Lane served as State Architect from Feb. 2011 to Sept. 2012. Prior to joining state service in Dec. 2005, he was an associate and senior project architect with Braun \u0026 Steidl Architects, an AIA Ohio Gold Medal firm, and graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science in architecture. Heavily involved with the American Institute of Architects, Lane was president of the Columbus Chapter in 2008, and served as its delegate to the AIA Ohio Board 2011-13. He was selected to participate in the AIA Leadership Institute at Georgetown University in 2002. He received AIA Ohio\u2019s Public Service Award in 2004 and its Mentor Award in 2010.
