Adult Changing Tables & the Newly Adopted Section 1113 Ohio Building Code

This presentation addresses the need for foresight when planning accessible and equitable restroom facilities in public and private buildings, and covers the new requirements around these tables that will appear in the 2024 Ohio Building Code, which can also be used for adaptations to existing facilities. These tables allow people with disabilities, the elderly, and their families to participate in their communities by providing them with a safe, hygienic, and dignified place to meet their personal care needs.
