Facing a population surge, a 5,000 sf\nextension strategically tripled classroom space, added breakout areas, and\ncentralized district offices. The architect maintained the schoolhouse\u0027s\nprominence by orienting the new construction five degrees off axis, cleverly\nconcealing its larger size. The exterior seamlessly blends modern and historic\naesthetics with dark gray siding, cedar barn doors, and a proportionate main\nentrance. Historic details, such as tin ceilings and wood wainscotting, were\nmeticulously restored. Inside, the connection to the addition encloses the\noriginal mechanical room discreetly, ensuring minimal disturbance and creating\na harmonious integration of modern and historic design elements."]]]]}
