It is home to F5 Inc., a technology company specializing in application delivery networking. The building\u2019s exterior enclosure features different angles that became a unique opportunity.\u201d"]]],[1,"p",[]],[10,0],[1,"h3",[[0,[],0,"A collaborative approach"]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Rather than viewing the exterior angles as a challenge, the architects took them as inspiration. \u201cWe loved the idea of bringing in diagonal movement that tied into the design of the building, and we started with the ceiling,\u201d said NBBJ Interior Designer Tara Schneider. "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"To reach this goal, the NBBJ team collaborated early in the design process with "],[0,[1],1,"PROJECTWORKS"],[0,[],0,", the complimentary Armstrong design and pre-construction service. \u201cThis was a fast-paced project from the beginning, so communication was key from the start,\u201d recalled Simon Belle, PROJECTWORKS CAD specialist. \u201cBy working together, we felt the original design could be installed after a few iterations. In the end, we were able to meet both the client\u2019s goals and timeframe.\u0022"]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"\u201cPROJECTWORKS helped us understand the difficulty of constructability when those angles are in play,\u201d Yen said. \u201cThey quickly iterated some of the original drawings we sent them and then achieved a kind of inset geometry that completed all the angles with intention.\u201d "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Multiple versions of the original design were created to achieve the final look."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"PROJECTWORKS then provided a comprehensive RCP drawing package to support the project that included panel, grid, and hub layouts. A full-line bill of materials helped streamline bidding and ordering. "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"The drawing package was also sent to contractor Peter McClain of "],[0,[2],1,"Acoustical Design Inc"],[0,[],0,". \u201cBy working with PROJECTWORKS, we were able to pre-install all of the brackets on each of the four main runners,\u201d he stated. \u201cSo, by the time we got to the jobsite, it was a simple click and go.\u201d "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Designer Schneider noted another important aspect of the project was the timeline. \u201cOur team\u2019s charge was to meet F5\u2019s expedited schedule in time for their next board meeting. As such, each aspect of the project had an almost simultaneous timeline and quick turnaround.
