"]]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"In 1953, the year of our founding, annual\nin-state tuition at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) was\napproximately $150. Today, a year at the\nUWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning for a Wisconsin resident is\napproximately $10,000. While tuition has\nskyrocketed, government aid for students and institutions has plummeted. The effect of this phenomenon is the\nincreased reliance on financing to obtain a college degree, often resulting in\nan accumulation of debt that becomes all too real after graduation. In\naddition, the higher cost of living due to recent inflation, the cost of\npreparing for and taking the exams, and modest wages for architectural interns\ncombine to make the life of our emerging professionals challenging."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"WAF\nwould like to help ensure the health and prosperity of our profession by\nproviding financial support to these individuals.
