These\nexperiences have shaped his practice and encouraged him to consider each\npatient\u2019s unique perspective and experiences. His leadership has been critical on projects\nsuch as the Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute for The Ohio State\nUniversity Wexner Medical Center, which has elevated the university\u2019s profile\nas a national leader in sports medicine. He also led a small team that\nconsidered one of health care\u2019s most difficult topics, death, for the 2020 Healthcare\nDesign Breaking Through Competition. The conceptual project, Carpe Mortem,\nredefined the contemporary approach to hospice care to be more reflective of the\nrich and varied life one has lived. The project was also featured on the cover\nof the competition\u2019s magazine in 2020. "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"His focus on improving our health care systems extends beyond his\nwork at Designgroup, and Haedt has chaired AIA Columbus\u2019 Academy of Architecture\nfor Health, doubling its membership through presentations, happy hours, and\ntours. In May 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Haedt organized\na panel conversation with local health systems that explored how they were\ncoping with the challenges the pandemic presented. Subsequent events have\ncentered on topics as wide-ranging as health equity and sustainability in\nhealth care, and all have helped elevate health care practice in the Columbus\nmarket."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Eager to share his knowledge and expertise more broadly, Headt is a\nregular speaker and presenter at events and symposiums across the country. Alongside leaders from the institutions they served, Haedt and Kolosky discussed\nclinical innovations and efficiencies and their architectural responses.
