With material resiliency at the forefront, the team opted\nfor concrete and steel, both inherently fire-resistant, to compose the exterior\npalette. The team\u2019s minimalist approach to the\ninterior details pervades the home with custom steel, stainless steel, and\nbronze cabinetry sprinkled throughout. In the main house, the top\nfloor is an open loft for the son to utilize as a study and craft room. For the\nwife, who is transitioning away from a highly successful law career to pursue a\nlifelong passion for farming, office space is accessed via a rooftop bridge.\nThe father has his own office space above the garage. Together, this trio of\nindividual work environments provides each family member with their own\nsecluded space for thinking and creating, while the common kitchen, dining, and\nliving areas embrace the essence of bonding. The home also includes a guest\nsuite for one of the owners\u2019 aging fathers, allowing three generations to live\ntogether.
