This full-day training program will enable you to be certified as a Building Evaluator in the California CAL-OES Safety Assessment Program. SAP is the preferred training standard of the AIA Disaster Assistance Program and the Structural Engineering Association - Structural Engineering Emergency Response (SEA-SEER). This program provides leadership, advocacy, and training for building professionals interested in volunteering their professional skills in times of crisis."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"The training presented by Janine Glaeser, AIA and Stacey Z. Keller, AIA, will share personal experiences from the field, cover how to conduct rapid damage assessments of structures, as well as the appropriate protocol for coordinating with state emergency managers during an event. This training will also cover specific Wisconsin experience and protocols developed in conjunction with Wisconsin Emergency Management (WEM). Members from SEA-WI will also provide their local resources and experience as well. Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to consistently and safely assess structures for habitability."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"This is a joint event between AIA Wisconsin and SEA-WI. Registration includes meals, a digital copy of CAL-OES Post-Disaster SAP Evaluator Training Student Manual, and a physical copy of ATC-45 Field Manual: Safety evaluation of Buildings after wind-storms and floods. Licensed professionals will receive a nationally recognized Cal OES registration ID card and certification from the state of California (5 years).
