She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a BS in Architectural Studies, earning her Master of Architecture in 2015. Upon graduating, she spent one year working for an architecture firm in Palatine, Illinois, then moved to Easton, Maryland, to work with Charles Paul Goebel on high-end residences, historic preservation projects, and tradition-influenced architecture. She is pursuing the path to licensure and also serves on the chapter\u0027s Programs Committee. He holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in Architecture (B-ARCH) from Marywood University, graduating in the class of 2017. He is currently on the path to licensure with three exams completed. Ben has worked on a wide variety of project types in his 4-year tenure at BMG, including K-12, libraries, civic\/government, and commercial projects. His interests are directed to designing spaces with long term flexibility that create transformable public spaces and promote interaction. Licensed in the state of Maryland, Melanie brings over 22 years of experience with multiple project types and sizes to clients and their projects. He graduated in 1980 and transferred to the Catholic University of America, where he received his Bachelor\u2019s and Masters degrees. After several years in private practice he pursued teaching full time at Anne Arundel Community College, eventually forming his own firm in 1989 to provide residential design services. He became the department chair for the architecture program at the college in 1995, and since then has expanded the department to offer Interior Design, Construction Management and Landscape Design degrees. Under his leadership the department has twice won the Department of Education\u2019s Best Postsecondary Program Award. Mike has recently retired from AACC and continues to pursue architecture with his company, Ryan Architecture. He has been a member of the board of AIA Chesapeake Bay since 2010, and is proud to have taught many of the college\u2019s graduates who are now licensed professionals in the chapter and throughout the state. He is instrumental in the Chapter\u0027s Design Awards program and has served as a juror or jury advisor several times."]]],[1,"p",[]],[1,"p",[]],[10,5],[1,"p",[[0,[0],1,"BARTON ROSS, AIA, AICP, LEED AP BD+C"]]],[1,"p",[[0,[7,2],2,"Barton Ross \u0026 Partners, LLC"]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Barton serves as President of Barton Ross \u0026 Partners, LLC, and is a preservation architect who has contributed to master plans for the Virginia State Capitol, the United States Capitol and Princeton University. Through his work, he has been recognized by the Society of Architectural Historians, the Vernacular Architecture Forum and the National Park Service. Barton currently serves on the Kent County Historic Preservation Commission, the Chestertown Main Street Design Committee, and is a Past President of the AIA Chesapeake Bay Chapter. He also serves as the chapter\u0027s 2-Year Elected Representative to the AIA Maryland Board of Directors and will be taking on the role of President for AIA Maryland. He is a graduate of the Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design, and received master\u2019s degrees from Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. Barton was named in Building Design \u0026 Construction Magazine as one of their 40 Under 40 Class of 2017, and to Engineering News-Record\u0027s 2019 National Top 20 Under 40 List. Additionally, in 2019 he was named as one of AIA\u0027s Young Architect Award Recipients. After completing her B.S. Arch. degree at University of Virginia, and her M. Arch. degree at University of Maryland, she worked at several Baltimore architecture firms before joining her current firm, Wiedemann Architects. As an associate, Barbara is project architect or project manager for high end custom residential projects. Barbara was involved in the Baltimore Chapter of AIA for almost 25 years, including chairman of the program committee for 5 years and a director on the board for several years. Matthew has been on the board of AIA Chesapeake Bay since 2016, previously serving as Secretary of the chapter, and as President from January 2018 to December 2019. Matthew continued his leadership role as the 2020 President of AIA Maryland. He has been involved in projects in MD, DC, and VA directly for over 15 years and has also worked with the Dept of State on numerous Ambassador\u2019s residences, as well as Marriott hotel brands worldwide. Rich received a BS degree in Quantitative Business Analysis from Pennsylvania State University and later studied a Master\u2019s program in Architectural Design at Brown University in Rhode Island. Over the years, she has worked in the trade association industry, holding astute positions such as Executive Director, Convention Manager, Communications Director and Assistant to the Director. In 1984, she established her business, TLG Inc. trading as The Laurel Group, an association and convention management company. Camille and the TLG team serve as the force which drives communication between the Board, Committees, Members and outside sources. Camille is incredibly passionate about what she does for a living.
