He studied architecture at Mississippi State University and after serving as a Principal for Townsend Associates-Architects PLLC and the Director of Architecture at Townsend Architects, a division of Vollmer Associates, Scott founded 3tarchitects. As Partner and Design Director, 3t was based on his passion and drive to create socially relevant projects by transforming communities, neighborhoods and buildings in need. SWBR recently acquired 3t Architects, allowing the Rochester company to expand into the Capital Region. 3t Architects will become 3t Architects, an SWBR Company and Scott Townsend will become a principal.
