The Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program has\nsince been successfully replicated by a dozen AIA components across the nation.\nGiven this program\u2019s track record of success, we are excited to bring it to\nKentucky, beginning later this year!"]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"This program will consist of monthly, half-day sessions of professional\ndevelopment experiences for a competitively selected cohort of 16 emerging\nprofessionals. Emerging Professionals are generally defined as being within ten\nyears of either receiving their architectural degree or achieving licensure.\nParticipants will be selected based upon factors such as career achievements,\ncommunity involvement and passion for the future of the architectural\nprofession."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[0],1,"Curriculum: "],[0,[],0,"The curriculum focuses on core professional skills such as\nentrepreneurship, firm management, teamwork, collaboration, negotiation, client\ndevelopment, community engagement, industry trends, civic leadership and much\nmore. The selected scholars to the leadership program are responsible for\nplanning and participating in each of the individual sessions. The program will\nbe kicked off by a \u201cBoot Camp\u201d session to introduce the participants and to\ndevelop the curriculum for the year. The amount and number of tuition\nassistance will be at the discretion of the Selection Committee."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[0],1,"Commitment:"],[0,[],0," The program\u2019s success is directly related to the attendance by the\nparticipants and therefore attendance is mandatory. Each participant of the\nprogram will be required to sign an Agreement Form that will require a\nsignature from one of the participant\u2019s principals of their firm. Provided due\nnotice to the Executive Committee, with extenuating circumstances, each scholar\nwill be allowed one excused absence. If two sessions are missed, a fine of $50\nwill be assessed to the participants\u2019 firm. Further absence will result in an\nadditional fine and expulsion from the program. He was a respected leader within the Institute as well as within\nGensler\u2019s Washington DC office. Through his volunteer efforts, he contributed\nto initiatives and programs that have had a positive impact on emerging professionals\nat different stages of their careers. In 2010 Christopher was honored with the\nAIA Young Architects Award for which the jury stated, \u201cChristopher has proven\nhimself a young leader within and around the AIA, a real example for other\nyoung professionals.\u201d This program is intended to continue his legacy of\nleadership."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[1,0],2,"Apply Here!
