As\na part of the program, she developed the chapter\u2019s first mobile app, which is\nstill used for streamlining its banner events. "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Throughout her tenure, Magdaleno has overseen numerous successful\nadvocacy campaigns, most notably in 2013 when personal liability protection for\narchitects was codified in the state. She was pivotal in producing a video that\nclearly articulated the complex subject, which Florida architects played on\ntheir mobile devices when engaging with lawmakers. In a more recent legislative\nsession, the language was under threat of removal due to loosely related\nlegislation. However, Magdaleno and the chapter\u2019s team were able to thwart the removal.\n"]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Magdaleno\u2019s engagement with architecture and AIA extends beyond\nFlorida, and she has been a critical member of CACE throughout her career,\nserving as its president in 2019. Her involvement has reinforced her commitment\nto the profession and strengthened her leadership as a component executive. As\npresident, she focused on preparing her peer components to survive the Great\nRecession and natural disasters.
