The annual event raises awareness with a creative and challenging competition that will help ease hunger in our community. With more than 150 cities across the United States and throughout the World participating in Canstruction\u00ae, we are proud to host this event here in Charleston. Architects, engineers, designers, contractors, businesses and schools participate by entering competing teams. The creativity embodied with this event not only shows the generous spirit of the design profession, it offers a unique way for the public to appreciate good design. "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Since its humble beginning in 1992, Canstruction\u00ae has donated nearly 50 million pounds of canned food to community food banks demonstrating that we can have a positive impact on the alleviation of hunger and malnutrition.
