{"version":"0.3.0","atoms":[],"cards":[],"markups":[],"sections":[[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"This project involved transforming an existing 1801 log cabin and its 1990s additions into a much larger necklace of vernacular forms, creating a five-bedroom family retreat."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"The goal of the project was to take the existing structures and place them within an overall collection or collage of vernacular forms. In doing so, we transformed the one-bedroom getaway into a five-bedroom mountain house into a homeplace for our clients\u2019 extended family. The new additions were conceived of as a series of gable and shed forms that interconnect to make modern open spaces. The new design embraces the West Virginia fields, forests, creeks, and mountains."]]]]}
