A graduate of Texas A\u0026M and the\nUniversity of Minnesota, Jennifer believes developing the vision and\ninspiration of a project through public engagement brings integrity and clarity\nto architecture and a building\u2019s ability to play a key role in shaping a\ncommunity\u2019s future. Jennifer\u2019s recent award-winning projects include Charleston\nFire Station #11, Ballentine and St. Andrews Libraries, James Island Town Hall,\nSt. Helena Branch Library in Beaufort SC, the Charleston International Airport\nredevelopment and new SC Welcome Centers at Fort Mill and Hardeeville.\n Jennifer is currently working on a GSA Design Excellence project in\nPreservation for Tomochichi Federal Courthouse in Savannah, GA and a new Discovery\nPlace Museum in Charlotte, NC. A past-president of AIA Charleston and ACE\nMentor, Jennifer has recently served as SC Equity in Architecture Committee\nChair, taught a \u201cfirm studio\u201d at Clemson\u2019s Architecture Center in Charleston,\nand serves as a NAAB Visiting Team Member for accreditations across the\ncountry. She has presented at the Raleigh Urban Design Conference, multiple\nLibrary Design Institutes, the South Carolina Library Association, and has\nserved on several design awards juries throughout the southeast."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[0],1,"Jarret Hudson, AIA"],[0,[],0," - An architect at McMilan Pazdan Smith, he is involved in mixed use\/multifamily\/hospitality work. Jarret also does healthcare and higher ed projects. "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[0],1,"Amalia Leifeste - "],[0,[],0,"Amalia Leifeste is an associate professor for the Graduate Program\nin Historic Preservation co-sponsored by Clemson University and the College of\nCharleston, in Charleston, SC. She is an architect and brings that\ndisciplinary background, as well as educational training in sustainable design\nand historic preservation, to the rich medley of faculty in the graduate\nprogram. Amalia\u2019s research agenda revolves around fostering a\nsustainable building culture and sees preservation practice as essential to any\nserious view of sustainability. In research and through her teaching\nrole she is interested in how we educate practitioners, how place fosters group\nidentity, and in defining how much and what kind of change can keep buildings\nuseful for current needs without erasing essential touchstones of meaning for\npeople who care about their historic places. As an\nEmerging Professional in LS3P\u2019s Columbia, SC office, Bria brings a unique\nperspective to projects with her understanding of planning and the built\nenvironment. Bria is dedicated to promoting community involvement throughout\nthe design process, ensuring key stakeholders are involved from start to\nfinish. Encouraging the next generation of designers is a passion Bria follows\nthrough her work with AIA Columbia and the ACE Mentor Program in the Columbia,\nSC area. With 8 years in the industry, Bria\u2019s warm disposition and sharp\naptitude for the profession make her an invaluable team asset."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[0],1,"Karo Wheeler, AIA"],[0,[],0," - Karo\ngraduated from Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Germany\nwith a Master of Arts in Interior Architecture in 2007. Karo began her career\nin Copenhagen Denmark and after graduation, she moved to Sydney, Australia,\nwhere she worked as the lead designer for various large-scale residential and\nmixed-use developments. She later relocated to Charleston, SC where she\ncontinued her design career working on commercial, hospitality, multi-family,\nacademic and mixed-use projects at the designer, project manager and associate\nlevels. She now works as a Senior Project Manager with The Middleton Group and\nserves as an alternate member at Charleston\u0027s Board of Architectural\nReview-Large."]]],[1,"p",[]],[1,"p",[]]]}
