The HSDC Committee was pleased to receive 44 submissions from 7 participating schools."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"This year\u2019s project was on the site of the French Quarter Square redevelopment in Perrysburg. In 2020, the former Holiday Inn French Quarter Hotel was demolished and the land is currently being redeveloped by River Rock Property Group with various retail shops, restaurants, and other businesses. One of those businesses is SafeSplash Swim School. Students could decide to follow the French Quarter Square theme of the current buildings on site or create a standalone, iconic solution. Projects have been as varied as a parking lot office (1950), a Toledo Automotive Museum (1999), a fast food restaurant (1977), and an architect\u2019s office (1968 \u0026 2007). According to AIA Toledo, the design competition is the longest running program of its kind in the history of the AIA.
