Young (R-IN), Schatz\n(D-HI) and Warnock (D-GA), seeks to\nimprove transparency and inclusive land use policies in communities across the\ncountry. "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Since 2019, AIA has supported the bipartisan Retirement\nParity for Student Loans Act (S. 1443\/ H.R. 2917) \u2013 which would prevent architecture graduates\nfrom being forced to choose between paying for their past or their future. According to surveys by multiple\nretirement investment firms, roughly 60% of workers under age 25 do not save through\ntheir employer\u2019s 401(k) plans at all. "]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"The Retirement Parity for Student Loans Act of 2021 seeks to\naddress this problem by allowing employers to count an employee\u2019s student loan\npayments the same as they would count an employee\u2019s retirement contribution for\nthe purposes of an employer match. This means that even if the employee is not\nputting additional money into retirement, at least the employer match can start\nto accrue in their retirement savings.
