Perceived as two buildings this entry is a\ntwo story space outside with a bridge connecting the 3rd and 4th levels. The bridge allowed the lower two\nlevels outside to pass by the entry, similar to a breezeway, and terminate into\nthe courtyard space. Walk up units on\nthe first floor line the courtyard and provide "],[0,[1],1,"security for the children"],[0,[],0,"\non the playground as well as a pleasant view. \nThe 4th level has an outdoor terrace with large\nplanter boxes for a resident based food\/flower grow program. The terrace faces\nsouth with a "],[0,[1],1,"strong visual connection"],[0,[],0," to the courtyard below and grander\nviews of the South Wedge Neighborhood in the distance. All of these design\nmoves are meant to create positive social interactions."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"With a\ndemanding budget, the design team carved away unneeded space with innovative design.\nBy connecting the two buildings with a bridge a code required stair was\neliminated. On the lower two levels of\nbuilding \u201cB\u201d, two-story walk up units eliminated corridors entirely. These are a\nfew examples of reducing costs by eliminating unneeded common space."]]]]}
