A mid-size building, the massing is \nbroken up into two separate volumes that step down toward the lake, \nhelping maintain the neighborhood\u2019s scale. Beneath the five levels of \nhousing and community space, a below-grade garage provides replacement \nparking while adding additional capacity. The building\u2019s edges enhance \nthe neighborhood with new plantings and the apartments\u2019 private \nbalconies and stoops provide a direct connection with the street and \nopportunities for social interaction."]]],[1,"p",[[0,[],0,"Communal spaces are available throughout the building, beginning with\n the ground floor\u2019s community room that features a kitchen, TV lounge, \nand activity space for art making programs and regular resident \nmeetings. The room is adjacent to a sunny, west-facing main courtyard, \nwhich overlooks the street and connects both of the building\u2019s masses, \ncreating a flexible indoor-outdoor plaza. On the fifth floor, a suite of\n community spaces enhances views of the lake and offers rooftop garden \nplots for residents, outdoor decks, and a wellness studio used for \nstretching and tai chi classes.
